—"Whoa." was all Carlo had to say. He couldn't move much, the concoction he drunk only took away the pains, not the wounds, so he sat down to the throne's armrest. Then he took his bottle out, and had a swig of it. When Mutou closed the distance, Blanc in tow (he could do little about either problem), she would find herself faced with him. —"Well well well, I wonder." — He started with with a killer smile. —"What's your beef with these girls, lady? Did they take your cookies on the playground?"
Guys. I know how to kill enemies. Do I really have to do it 8,000 times?
*as the other CPU's also start to lose power and then a masked women enters and then tells two of her man to capture and cuff Tos* This party's gettin' crazy... *while the woman is walking towards the chair carlo is sitting in the two guards try to catch Tos from the front and behind*
*he waits silently and then as the guard from behind get's close enough to Tos he punches him in the face with his elbow while kicking the guard infront of him in the face at the same time* Let's Rock!
*he then uses air trick to get right behind the masked woman and points his pistol at her back* I'd say you and your guards better leave before things could get ugly.
*he then does a quick glance across the room to see if the CPU's and everyone else is okay before he put his focus back on the masked woman*
Might controls everything, and without strength you cannot protect anything, let alone yourself. Vergil DMC3
Oh, hey now!*Chayse rolls out of hiding and pulls the scimitar out of the sheathe on her hip, jumping and ending up behind Tos (Tosmasta00 ), putting the blade on his throat* I wouldn't if I were you. Pull the trigger and lose your life.*She turns her attention to Mutou* Took you bloody long enough, Mutou. I was worried ya' wouldn't show up!

Meanwhile.. Not too far away from the dreadnaught, A strange looking robot Flyies towards the massive ship... "The explosions earlier did in fact mean trouble, and trouble is when i come in!."
...The flying robot uses his optics to zoom on the ship, analyzing what he is dealing with.. "Whew...This is not going to be easy, Welp, There goes my free afternoon."
The robot hovers above the ship, trying to be as stealthy as possible, he shuts down his rotors and crawls through the ship to find an entrance into the Dreadnaught. "C'mon! there must be a breach somewhere to sneak in!"
The Mechanic being keeps looking for an entrance, until he spots the lastation rammed ship hole.. "Right there! wonder what's going on inside this Ship."
The robot stays still, trying to hear something from the inside, with no success.
Honestly...maybe taking a quest directly from the goddesses wasn't the brightest plan for Garou. First of all, no one told him that he was going up against Lowee's CPU, that was NOT in the description...far as he could remember anyway. But regardless of the target of the quest, he was fairly sure no one asked Lady Noire to ram her ship into a DREADNOUGHT of all things! How reckless was his native CPU anyway?! Garou just decided to take a quick nap after the briefing and then BAM! Suddenly everyone was rushing onto the enemy ship and he was still trying to shake off the sleepy grog.
"Ugh...they can't pay me enough for this crap...", he mumbled, making his own way onto the ship.
However it became quite clear to the young lad that the group was scattered beyond belief. Just why did Blanc want to make this ship so big anyway? Compensating? Well, it didn't matter, all Garou knew was that he had to get to the bridge, stop the ship and collect his reward. "Right...family instinct tells me it's...thataway!", the young man said, rushing off towards the bridge, whilst battling any resistance that could get in his way.
Of course...the issue with Garou's fighting style is that it was lacking in the subtlety department. So loud that anyone near or on the bridge could hear the circuits of guard robots being crunched or the pained screams of helpless mooks as Garou fought his way through, unaware of the party's current peril.
Just then...*BAM!*, one of doors to the bridge was kicked wide open, one of the hapless mooks sent flying across the bridge. And there was Garou, one of his hands ruffling his blonde hair yawning. "Alright, anyone know how to shut down a dreadnought-" He was cut off by the...colorful sight before him. He could've sworn Blanc was the big-bad of this quest, but here she was being pinned by someone he didn't seem to recognize. "Uh...guessing that gal's the new boss fight?", he shrugged, directing his gaze toward Mutou.
Seemed like...well two girls that seemed fairly friendly with each-other, seemingly gloating over the Lowee CPU. They didn't exactly look like pushovers either. Again, it was looking like it wasn't a smart idea to take this job in the first place, but he had made this bed and Garou was going to have to lie in it. Well at least someone from the party of hired help was here, so it wasn't a total tactical cluster-nep. They'd just need to work together.
"Lemme guess, I can't just ask the two of you nicely to let them go?", he asked, gesturing to Blanc and her sisters.
Carlo did not like the developments at all. This was becoming a mess. Tos came to his rescue but it was not enough. A little girl came around, but it couldn't possibly be enough. More fighting could be heard on the outside, and it was Lowee~s crew that was getting the short end of the fist. With little time to act, and little time to react, he unceremoniously pulled Noire's foil from it's scabbard, and faced Mutou in a dueling stance —"Only one way to find out." He then shot the water pipe above Chayse, causing her to be showered in water.
*The water was definitely enough to annoy Chayse and she was gonna show it* WHAT THE HELL!? *She threw her scimitar, attempting to knock Carlo's gun from his grasp and she zipped around the room to grab it again* Screw this! *She skidded to the side, before magic appeared and she started glowing green* You're gonna pay for that, dumbass! *She vanished, and the next thing anyone knew, was kicking Carlo right in the back with a lot of force, she had moved too fast to see and used it as a windup for the kick*
*The atmosphere became even thicker, repressing most actions inside the bridge, some magic user was getting annoyed at the whole ordeal, but the people of Celestia's Gate were unaffected, but with this added thickness for everyone, the suppression on the CPUs waned, some, but not all of their power was coming back*
Amidst the draining, Prissys adorable dance... Seemed to be working! though only a little, the shares from the cheer were enough to re-energize the twins. At the least, they could fight in their human forms. They rose, clenching their pens with new determined smiles.
I... Feel better... Thank you so much~
Yay, it worked~! it may be too risky to use HDD, but this should be enough for a few minutes! ...Hey, old man, you're helping too!
Ram pointed to Garou as she made a rather rude comment, but such was just Ram being Ram. Rom leaned into Ram and whispered something, to which Ram nodded with a mischievous smile.
Not usually our style, but it should surprise them... Then, ready Rom!? let's go!
In a surprising move, Rom and Ram charged right into an unexpecting Mutoh with all their might. Far from a finishing move, but should atleast get Tos and Blanc out of a pickle.
....OLD MAN?! Okay Garou was usually one to take insults with a grain of salt but this little brat just seemed to trigger a nerve inside his head. But just as he was about to go off on her, the twins gave Garou the opening he needed. "Alright, then let's do this!", he said, following up the twins' sneak attack with a running drop kick straight onto Mutou's head. Wasn't gonna be KO worthy for sure, but it was a way to start off combat. While she reeled from the team attack, he back stepped in front of Rom and Ram, already in a stance.
"Right, didn't exactly take too kindly to the "old man remark, I'm 19 for the record, I do appreciate the opening. Now then if you two can fight, then let's finish this one together eh?", he smirked. Hopefully the twin CPUs could feel the shares from Garou's own belief and trust to give them a little boost. They were going to need it. Of course they had to be wary of Mutou's "friend" there, but it was 4-2 when you included the drunk Carlos, so it wasn't too bad.
You couldn't see it, but the heavily clothed woman was probably pouting under all that mess. "...I thought I looked cool."
"H-Hey, wait! Don't leave me behind!" The woman yelled as she ran after Priscilla. She wasn't very fast, though, and quickly lost track of her. "Crap! Where the heck's that bridge, anyways... Screw it, I need some help..." She began digging through a small bag she had on hand, filled with a number of small crystals and pulled out one that was glowing. "Perfect. What I need is... This way!"
Mutou shrugged, hearing signs of Chayse's presence. "I was going to say the same of you. No matter, we're both here... Shall we dance?"
Of course, she couldn't be allowed the chance to look badass after that kind of cliche'd line. First being charged into by the twins, then taking a blow to the head from that strange martial artist, Mutou found herself being knocked back across the bridge.
Her durability was surprisingly high, as she did get up from the attack, slowly approaching the three with her sword drawn. "You just couldn't let me have that moment, could you?" She said with a clear hint of anger in her voice.
As she approached, she stepped into the water flowing down from the broken pipe. She was unfazed as the water soaked her clothing, showing off a rather pleasant figure.
"Tch. Even the bitch in the mask has more than I do. Damn it." Blanc shakily got to her feet, having regained some of her stamina. "It's your fault this has happened. I'm gonna take out all of my frustration on you."
Noire and Vert also recovered somewhat.
"Even in our weakened state... We still have you beat."
"Indeed. Three CPUs, two candidates, a pair of capable adventurers, and..." Vert waves to Priscilla. "One charming cheerleader. I think even you are outmatched, Mutou."
"...Is that what you think?" Somehow, the smile on her mask seemed to grow larger. "This is child's play." She ran her hand along the blade of her sword as she said this, igniting it in a fire that burned so hot that not even the water pouring down from the pipe above could extinguish it.
In fact, it turned to steam. A lot of steam. Enough to fill almost the entire bridge and obscure the vision of most everyone.
Where she went next couldn't be seen, but at one point she had managed to grab a certain robot( Lobster ) that caught her attention and chuck it at the group. How such a tiny woman had that kind of strength is unknown.
She quickly vanished back into the steamy smokescreen.
Garou couldn't help but make a smartass comment. "C'mon, at best that was a 6/10 lady. Pretty sure a guy named Sam could've done that better.", he smirked, knowing that'd probably earn him an asswhooping but damn did it feel good. However the moment she smirked was when Garou knew she still had several tricks up her sleeve, aside from durability.
The steam was one of those tricks he imagined. "Guys, don't move!", he warned the group, already having a feeling of what was gonna happen. And there it was. A massive robot being hurled at rather comical speeds toward the party. Garou took a running leap and using his momentum, gathering energy to one of his legs and...*BAM!*, kicked the hapless machine to the side, at the cost of draining Garou quite a bit. He landed with a limp, waving to the giant machine. "Er...sorry about that big guy...", he sighed. That kick took quite a bit of energy out of the young fighter, using one of the walls to support his own weight.
"Right...well that was a thing eh...?", he chuckled, grimacing a bit at the pain in his leg.
As it turned out kids, maybe kicking giant robots wasn't a good idea.
The robot was frustrated by the smokescreen in front of him "Gaah! I can't see anything!", but before he could enter into the steam, he felt as someone grabbed him and threw him into it with great force "What the HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL?!" he said as he flew into it, he didn't have time to brake with his rotors before he was kicked into the ground by someone, ouch.
"OWW! MY TRANSISTORS!" The robot shouted while Re-activating his rotors and hovering, ponting his Twin back cannon's at the party "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"
The robot was angry and confused, he had no clue of where did he end up now.
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and i will spend the first four sharpening the axe.." -George Washington
As Garou struggled to support himself, he found that maybe kicking a giant robot wasn't a smart idea for reasons besides hurting your own leg. For example, you might, and this is a theory mind you, just might make the robot a little angry. "W-Whoa there big guy, sorry I didn't mean to hurt ya! It was just the only thing I could think of.", he apologized, really not meaning to hurt the robot in all seriousness.
He didn't look like any of the Lowee mechs he had clobbered till now, he looked a lot more advanced. Was it from Lastation? It seemed to have a fancy on-board AI built into it. "Look, I swear I didn't mean to hurt you, I really couldn't see that well in all that steam, and what would you do if you had a giant robot being flung 50 MPH at you?", he explained. "Where did you even come from? You're certainly no Lowee mech, that's for sure."
Carlo couldn't possibly anticipate this outcome. The tossed scimitar? Useless. Girl skidding to the side? What for? Did she not recognize a single shot pistol when she saw one? Reloading that was not for the heat of combat. Somehow getting behind him despite his best efforts to avoid flanking? no chance. So he did what anyone would in this situation: stumbled forth, surprised at how she vanished from his sight, (the green glow meant trouble. Magic trouble.) then, experience kicking in, he turned his momentum into a combat roll. On his feet, winded, hurting, but not not broken, Carlo turned to face his opponent. His hand holstering the empty pistol hit somerhing. A runestone. Fingering the outline, he felt the item charge up with magic power as the air turned oppressive. In fact, his hands felt charged with energy, and some of his pockets resonated on a weak but high pitched sound, mostly lost in the commotion and fog. —"We'll see about that." —he nodded, and prepared himself to defend, finger on the rune.
M-My apologies... Mister... Ram just says what's on her mind a lot...
Rom apologized for Rams comment towards Garou with a sympathetic sigh. Ram seemed to change her tone as Garous quick movement impressed her.
Huh, nice one! sorry for calling you an old man... Yeah, let's knock her stupid mask right off her stupid face!
The twins gained strength and confidence as the shares filled them up, along with the weakening of the stigma in the air. The twin CPUs were ready to pay Mutoh back in full for everything; that is, until Mutoh used her Smokescreen attack.
Eh!? what the hell? she's trying to get away!
I... Can't see...
The two heeded Garous warning to stay still, moving in the thick steam was too dangerous. Rom and Ram instantly set up defense barriers as they sensed the large mecha being hurled their way, but were surprised to see Garou superkick it aside... Ram shouted towards Mutoh in the distanced, aimlessly firing an ice shard into the direction the mech flew from in frustration. She definitely inherented her big sisters temper.
HEY!! GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT YOU COWARD! DUMMY! If I see you again I'll kick you stupid face off!!!!
Meanwhile, Rom, in her kinder nature, was concerned for Garous injury.
That looked like it hurt... Let me help, Mister...
Rom pointed her pen toward Garous leg and focused her power, using her Heal skill to tend to the energy. The effects should be immediate. Ram redirected her frustration toward the mech who now targeted the group.
Hey, we're not the bad guys here! it's that wannabe supervillain who threw you! now help us find her! we're Lowees CPU Candidates, so attacking us would be treason you know!
The robot Comprehends the situation, It was an accident, He slowly lowers his cannons and lets out a sigh...
"Yeah, you're all right, i would done the same thing."
the mechanical creature hovers down to the ground and retracts his Cannons, Offering an explanation.
"I was...Analizing the fray from a distance when suddenly a smokescreen popped up in front of me, and then, i felt someone grabbed me and threw me here...
And no,I'm not from lowee"
The robot Sits on a box and starts to repair his elbow Joint cables, In awkward silence. "And.. if you want me to help ya'll Find the coward who threw me here, well... *Small chuckle* You didn't have to ask, after all, that's my business."
Turning to the twins', or rather, Ram's screaming, Garou shrugged. "Eh...it's okay. I'm not one to hold grudges.", he said. Now was not the time for better squabbling after all, they had much bigger fish to fry. Heck, at this point he was sympathizing with Ram's anger toward the masked woman, she had just played them all like damned fiddles after all. Honestly he wanted some pay back too, for his le-
As soon as he directed his attention to his leg, there was Rom, using a...pen? Huh. Well whatever it was, it was healing Garou's leg like crazy, better then new really! "Whoa. Didn't expect to heal that fast. I owe ya one miss.", he smiled at Rom, regaining his footing. Right so let's try NOT kicking massive metal things from now on, shall we? Upon Ram's comment on treason however, Garou couldn't help but sigh. "Um...Ram isn't it? We don't really know where he came from. For all he know he could very well come from a place where our laws don't apply. We just need to calm down for a second and try to think of where she could possibly be on the ship." And given the robot's own explanation, he was right on the money. Score one for Garou!
Okay, business of the moment...finding the mask lady, shutting down the ship and going home. Seemed like a simple idea that was about to turn much more complex then it had a right to be.
It'd help if they had a map for sure, but Garou was sure that Blanc wasn't willing to share that info.
Rom smiled and nodded, happy that her power helped someone.
You don't owe me, Mister... Just do your best now...~
Ram calmed down a little. Garous argument made sense, and the mech seemed to withdraw his arms.
You're really not one of my sisters robots, then...? I guess it makes sense, since hers are usually only 3 inches tall... You seem dependable though. Anyway, we need to get that dummy in the mask! if she activates the bomb...
Ram trailed off, whilst Rom looked toward Blanc.
Blanc... This is your ship, right? you know the layout... Can you lead the way? UngaLordLobsterBlanc
As it turns out, Mutou hadn't quite left the bridge just yet. The sounds of her boots hitting the metal floor of the airship could be heard as she surveyed her foes, looking to strike whomever she viewed as the weakest.
"Tch. How the hell can anyone see in this shit?" Blanc said through gritted teeth. She had a pretty bad feeling something would happen to her or her sisters before this was over. "Hey, robot. Can't you use your rotors to get rid of this damn fog or something?" She barked. ( Lobster )
In the end, she decided to jump out from inside the steam and place herself between Carlo and Chayse, stopping the woman's kick with the guard of her rapier. "There's no time for that, right now." She said, forcing the Oxygen Destroyer into her arms.
"I assume you know exactly what to do with this, yes? Don't get caught."
With that all said and done, she ran her hand along the blade of her sword once more, this time charging it with some kind of electricity. How she didn't get shocked with all that moisture in the air, not to mention her soaked clothing, is a mystery.
She whipped around to face Carlo, swinging her blade at him as she did. If it connected, it would act very much like a taser.
*Chayse, despite having a shocked look on her face, of course was ready, and nodded* Fine, but you better freakin' cover me..! *Chayse's magic hadn't quite worn off yet, so she started bolting from the bridge at high enough speeds to blow the fog around behind her, creating a clear pointer to where she was moving* Let's get this done! *She's bolting towards the weapons bay, that much can be seen, since her magic wears off soon after leaving the bridge*
Mutou's advances were unexpected, but at least Carlo had both the courtesy to let them finish speaking, (this applied to more people than one'd think) and the time it took the lady to use her Spellblade/MagicSword ability (FFV) before he was forced on the defensive. As for defensive... Well, he had a rune prepared for that. He didn't get a good feel what rune it was, or even recall he still had unused runes left, but whatever it was, it was the rigt time to use it. However, he wasn't prepared for nothing happening, save for his blade connecting with hers, smacking it out of the way, and the spell charge doing nothing at all. It wsn't until he, having used the well timed parry to counter with his off-hand and smacked the side of Mutou's face, saw the why: runes glowing on his hand. Runeskin. Not only that, but he felt as good as new too! The strange buzzing in his pockets died down.
